Infographic: History of Every England Shirt Worn in Euros

Nike yesterday unveiled the new England shirts, which will be debuted against Germany next Sunday ahead of the Euro 2016 Finals.

The kits have been generally well approved by the Three Lions faithful and mark the first radical attempt at an England design by the US sportswear giants since taking over rights to the kits from Umbro in 2013. The somewhat unkind comparison has been made that previous incarnations of the Nike England shirt have been just like the team – dull, bland and lacking inspiration.

However with an exciting new breed of talent emerging including Dele Alli, Raheem Sterling, Harry Kane and Ross Barkley, Nike have upped their game and delivered an exciting new style for the 2016 2017 England shirt.

To mark the launch of the new kit, we look back at the history of England football shirts worn at the European Championships – including the kit that never was that was replaced by Steve McLaren’s brolly in 2008!
