These are heady days at Parkhead with the club now offering season tickets for the new safe standing section. And in the second year of their £30m deal, these leaked images suggest kit manufacturers New Balance have come up with a modern take on one of football’s iconic kits. The American firm is on a roll at the moment with some classy designs for Panama and Costa Rica on show this summer at the Copa América Centenario and they haven’t disappointed here either.
The gradiented ligher green inner hoops sits comfortably on the traditional thick darker green hoops, a hint of the past in a forward-looking design. These will be the first kits bearing the logo of new main sponsor, Dafabet. On the reverse, Magners sits across the shoulder.
The club crest will be topped by a gold star remembering the Lisbon Lions half a century on from the magnificient European Cup final win over Internazionale.
