Borussia Mönchengladbach Launch New Home Kit For 2016/17
Bundesliga side 0. Die Fohlen will wear it for the first time in the final home game of the season at Borussia-Park when they entertain third-placed Bayer Leverkusen.It’s a match which will have a huge say in whether fourth-placed Borussia qualify for the Champions League.
Italian manufacturers Kappa have gone for hoops instead of the green and black stripes traditionally associated with Borussia jerseys. Whilst the back is all-white, the black hoops across the front are bisected by thin white stripes, creating a sash effect.
The Borussia badge sits proudly under the two gold stars of the Verdiente Meistervereinel the clubs who have won the Bundesliga five times. Borussia’s last was forty years ago in the 1976-77, the season when they lost the European Cup final to Liverpool in Rome.
Finishing off the kit, are white shorts and socks, both bearing the Kappa logo with the club crest on the right thigh of the shorts. Overall, it’s a simple but effective kit design with which to welcome the new season.
