FSV Mainz Release 2016/17 Away & Third Kits
FSV Mainz gave their 2016/17 away and home kits a more understated release than the home kit for next season enjoyed. Of course, the hype didn’t match reality with the home kit debuted in the goalless draw against HSC Hertha Berlin on the final day of the last Bundesliga season.
Mainz will be hoping these kits make winning starts next year.
FSV Mainz 2016/17 Away Kit
This is the FSV Mainz away kit for the 2016/17 season.
All white, the shirt incorporates the club’s other colours into the trim.
Made by Lotto, it’s a simple but effective design, destined to do well in the replica kit market due to the unusual colour combinations. The collar, for example, comes into a y-shape neckline with the left half of the front coloured yellow from the white shoulder panel to the neckline’s bottom point.
On the shirt sleeve cuffs, the club’s primary colour of red features in a wave design with the manufacturers crest in the largest part of the design.
The bottom hemline of the shirt body is blue.
The kit is completed by white shorts and socks, both containing minimal red trim.

This is the FSV Mainz third kit to be worn during the 2016/17 season.
It’s another straightforward template from Lotto, enlivened by a colourful trim combination.
As with the away shirt, there is y-shaped collar which this time features a black trim running from the shoulder panel to the bottom of the neckline.
The shirt sleeve cuffs are once more red, featuring the Lotto logo in the largest part of the design. The hemline this time is black.
Mainz will wear black shorts with a red band across each thigh. The kit is finished with black socks with yellow matching trim.
There’s an Italian style to the kits which will be appreciated by supporters. Lotto has kept the fundamental shirt designs simple and added understated but effective trim on both.
