Doncaster Rovers 2018/19 Away Kit
Right off the back of Doncaster Rovers’ home kit reveal, we want to show you their away kit. While this jersey doesn’t seem quite so controversial in its design, there is still a lot going on here. FBT who describe themselves as “specialists in teamwear” have designed a kit which fades from navy on the top through to red towards the middle, a homage perhaps to their sponsor: Virgin Trains.
Across the chest sit the club’s insignia and the logo for FBT. Just below the sponsor is the split into firm black with a white horizontal line. The one thing that strikes viewers of the kit is that there isn’t a huge amount of logic to it. Instead of simplicity the club seem to have piled a huge amount of effort into coming up with many different effective designs and trying to merge them together. This huge range of styles pushed together is also seen with the red tapering on the sleeves, although this does match the neck line.
While there hasn’t been a huge amount of commenting on social media, this kit has simply left us a little confused but it definitely isn’t the worst kit that we’ve seen.
Will this kit be the tool to secure promotion next season on their travels? We look forward to finding out.
