England fans don’t like too much to be played with when it comes to a new strip. They like a simple design which essentially is somewhat reminiscent of 1966, because hey, we have to keep going back to that success. It’s all we have.

So fans may be in for a little bit of a shock by the latest kit leak which has ice blue in its design. Yes, ice blue!

Wayne Rooney and his men will be stepping out in a brand spanking new kit, revealed this week, and as expected is predominantly white but shies away from the usual navy blue or red with a lighter blue design on the sleeves and collar.

The design has been doing the rounds on social media, and means that for the first time since Euro ’96 the kit has used a lighter shade. Of course, it’s 20 years since that tournament when England were heartbreakingly knocked out in the Semi-Final versus Germany. But it is remembered for that Gazza goal against Scotland, so we’ll certainly be hoping the likes of Dele Alli can produce something equally as magical this time round.

It’ll be the third home effort by Nike, following 2014/15’s simple and stylish England kit, and is certainly a little different, and it appears that may be the case with the away strip too.

So far the US brand have stuck strictly to red but we could see a black shirt with gold trimming. The leak dates back to last year and was leaked with the image featured below.
