NK Maribor 2016/17 Home Kit On The Bench For Celtic Friendly
NK Maribor hosted Celtic in the last leg of the Scottish champions pre-season tour last night. The football may have been rubbish but the Slovenian’s kit is superb.
Maribor and the Celts turned in a dreary goalless draw and were denied the dreamy beauty of the home side’s kit. Instead the Slovenians sweltered in their away kit whilst Celtic toiled in next season’s stylish interpretation of the famous green and white hoops.
NK Maribor Home Kit
This is the NK Maribor home kit for the 2016/17 season.
The Slovenian champions will be wearing a simple but unique kit for their home games next season. Adidas has produced an all-white kit with minimal but nonetheless striking trim.
Three Stripes, the German kit manufacturers famous design trademark, are purple on this shirt. They run from the yellow round neck collar, via a thin band around either side and back of the neck, through to the plain white hem of the shirt sleeve.
Across the front of the shirt, a tonal purple stripe runs horizontally across the chest. With the Adidas logo on the right breast and the Maribor crest on the left, the minimal approach to the shirt is the key to its’ classic look.
