Rangers Football Shirts

Glasgow Rangers are Scotland’s most successful club and have won more Championships and trebles than any other club side in the world. The club play at Ibrox Park and won the European Cup Winners Cup in 1972. The club have a fierce rivalry with Glasgow Celtic and the Old Firm derby is one of the most passionate and bitter rivalries in the world of football.

After a period of financial difficulty, Rangers were liquidated at the end of the 2011-12 season. The club were reformed, but were demoted to the Third Division, the bottom tier of Scottish football and did not regain their top flight status until 2016. Despite playing in the lower leagues, the clubs supporters did not waiver and Rangers continued to average one of the highest attendances in European football.

Rangers have been graced with a number of top players over the years, including Paul Gascoigne, Ally McCoist, Trevor Steven, Artur Numan, Gennaro Gattuso, Giovanni van Bronckhorst, Tugay and Brian Laudrup, who was voted the club’s best player. Such is the loyalty and passion of the support that Rangers football shirts are one of the best sellers on a consistent basis.

Rangers Home Shirt

A fiercely unionist club, the Rangers home shirt is royal blue, white and red to reflect the colours of the Union Jack. However, for the best part of the first 50 years of Rangers history, the club played in a lighter blue jersey and even at one point wore a hooped kit – a design now synonymous with city rivals Glasgow Celtic. The shirt is worn with white shorts and black socks with red detailing.

Rangers Shirt History

The first Rangers replica shirts released for sale to the public were manufactured by Umbro in 1978. In 1992, the club signed a deal with Adidas and were sponsored by McEwans Lager. During this period, Rangers began their dominance of Scottish football as rivals Celtic suffered major financial troubles and were on the brink of extinction, while the threat of Aberdeen faded.

In 1997, Rangers partnered with Nike and the following year appointed Dick Advocaat as manager. The club embarked on lavish spending on a number of big name players and while this led to a period of success, it also was the start of the financial troubles that would plague the club in recent years.

During this period, the club were sponsored by telecoms firm NTL, however they had their own financial problems and were replaced by Carling. Diadora took over the contract in 2002 and were replaced by Umbro in 2005. Carling remained sponsors until 2010 when Tennents took over.

Following the re-birth of Rangers, the club signed a merchandising agreement with Puma and a sponsorship deal with 32Red.

Rangers Megastore

Such is the popularity of Glasgow Rangers that an extensive range of merchandise exists beyond the home & away replica kits. Also available for sale is a wide range of training kit and clothing.

Rangers tracksuits are particularly popular with adults and kids alike, while polo shirts are perfect for wearing when a replica jersey is not appropriate attire. For lazing around the house, we have t-shirts, hoodies and sweat tops. All training wear can be personalised with your initials.
