Derby County Reveal 2018/19 Home Kit by Umbro

Derby County has just appointed Frank Lampard as their manager. The odds fell to 12/1 last week and this morning it was finally announced. The ex-Chelsea star had an abundance of talent on the field, notably scoring some of the most fabulous powered shots which find either corner of the net. The question on everyone’s lips is: will he be able to show as much flair and ability off the pitch? Will he be enough to put the Rams back into the Premier League or will they flounder and fall apart under a manager without experience? While this provides a new hope for the club and its loyal fans, news has also come of Derby County’s newest home kit.

Even if you were swept up in the managerial announcement, Lampard was photographed holding the latest top.

It’s simple and features some of Umbro’s famous style.

The club have of course proceeded with the same winning combination of white with black edging.

Much like Everton’s 2018/19 kit, Umbro have imprinted their legendary logo along the sleeves to give the kit a retro feel, reflecting the club’s illustrious past.

The stylish kit top is finished with black shorts and white socks.

The difference between this new kit and the 2017/18 jersey is that less black features across the shoulders and the sleeves are broken up by Umbro’s signature style.

Whether Frank Lampard can bring the change needed to see Derby County in the EPL once again is yet to be seen. He was a great player and the club are keen on him. Sceptics in the fanbase might do well to remember that the Chelsea and England star is the nephew of Harry Redknapp, one of England’s most famous managerial names. By relation, Frank is also the cousin of Jamie Redknapp, a Sky Sports pundit. Perhaps Lampard isn’t as inexperienced as first thought. (Although maybe he is).
