Arsenal Have Revealed Their 2018/19 Away Kit by Puma

Arsenal. Boy oh boy we as an audience can’t wait to see what next season hold for them. After saying goodbye to the managerial legend Arsene Wenger, the Gunners turn in hope to Unai Emery. Playing at the highest heights of English football, any negative results in the early few games could cause fickle fans to turn against the Spaniard, and perhaps the words “Wenger out”, seen up and down the country (even at weddings), could come back to haunt the fans.

Still, we have the World Cup still to come. Let the magnificent spectacle wash over you.

Before it kicks off tomorrow, Arsenal have released their away kit from Puma. It combines the two magic qualities: simplicity and style to create a jersey that is worthy of a top six finish. Maybe even the league title?

The base colour is a gorgeous navy, spreading under the club’s crest and Puma logo. Fly Emirates has always dominated the kit top but it is nowhere near as bad as Ipswich Town’s sponsor (we just can’t get over the brightness).

Across the chest, running horizontally across the sleeves is a faded red, running in a sort of large M pattern. The colouring looks a little like someone has spilt an ice lolly down themselves but it does compliment the blue. The red also appears across the shoulders and ensures the colour palette of blue and red is retained. For the 2018/19 kit, Puma have opted for a simple, modern neckline without coloured tapering.

Ordinarily we don’t mention the shorts too much. Simply because they’re usually just a simple black or white. Here however, Puma have chosen the red which runs across the chest to completely fill the shorts. It really does work quite well, but it is quite a strong look.

Arsenal fans taking to the internet seem to be a little divided over the kit, however most are focusing on whether incoming manager Unai Emery can deliver the goods over the next few games.

The pressure is on but this kit certainly stands up to scrutiny.
