Here at UK Soccer Shop, we’ll take a look at any and all kits. Whether they’re from another country, a top league, or a low league, we simply love a good design. While Swindon Town aren’t a top level club, their latest away kit release is certainly something to admire. The overall design is simple, bold and well-contrasted. But first, let’s look at their season so far. Their previous five results have been two losses, two draws and a win. While some fans will simply want their team to have a solid season, Phil Brown will want to see his team push on for promotion. To do so, they’ll have to start getting some more wins on the board.
On to the kit. Swindon Town’s away kit is black. On top of this canvas sits the club’s crest, their main sponsor and Puma’s logo. This black colouring acts as the perfect blank canvas, and is contrasted nicely with the red that appears on each sleeve. A red bordering appears at the bottom of the sleeves and a thick red section runs up towards the neckline.
While most teams tend to choose a simple neckline, Swindon’s away kit features a red, classic collar. This collared-neckline perhaps reflects the club’s heritage. Swindon’s away jersey is accompanied by black shorts with the club’s crest, and black socks. The shorts have a thick red line running vertically up the side and the socks have a range of horizontal red lines.
