Greece Has Revealed Their 2018/19 Away kit by Nike

Greece’s Away Kit is Subtle but Full of Character.

Today we’ve seen both a series of concept kits for Borussia Dortmund, and Nike’s latest boot release. We at UK Soccer Shop thought it would be best to finish the day with an existing kit. While there are plenty of club kits knocking about, an international jersey might be the best way to go. ‘Which one?’ We hear you ask. Well, it’s Greece’s away kit. We brought you their home kit way back in April. At the time, Greece had just failed to qualify for the 2018 World Cup. Who knows, if they had qualified, it was such a strange tournament that they might have gone on to win.

About the home kit, this is what we had to say:

“You’ll find no other colours apart from the country’s national ones (blue and white) on this stylishly-designed jersey. The body is white with a physical line separating the sleeves, riding up to the neck which is bordered with sharp blue.”

Can the away jersey live up to the home kit’s simple design? In short, we think so.

Greece’s away kit is dark blue with thick light blue stripes running horizontally across the front. Down the right-hand side of the jersey is a vertical light stripe. This reflects the country’s flag and is a simple, positive design choice. On the opposite side the the country’s flag which sits prominently on top of a light horizontal stripe.

The neckline is a stunningly simple one. There features no built-up neckline, and Nike has utilised the nape of the kit design. Here, four white vertical stripes sit on a blue background.

While we at UK Soccer Shop think the overall kit design is excellent, Greece’s away jersey is not only aesthetically positive, but it also features Nike’s cutting-edge breathable technology.
