Football doesn’t need much of a reason for a celebration and Deportivo Alaves joined in the fun recently when they issued a limited edition shirt.
In celebration of the city of Vittoria’s sporting clubs, the football club wore a shirt based on the colours of the basketball team, Baskonia. Promoted under the banner of “Gure Hiria, Gure Taldeak” – Our city, our colours, the kit formed part of a drive to raise funds for charity.
The kit was worn during the recent 1 – 1 draw with Sevilla at Mendizorroza. Post-match, the club aucitoned matchworn shirts on ebay to raise funds for charity. Baskonia did the same with their blue and white shirts, based on Alaves home kit.
Deportivo Alaves Limited Edition Kit
This is the kit which Alaves wore against Sevilla.
Hummel, the club’s technical partner, modelled the shirt on the basketball club’s red and navy colour scheme. The front is red with dark blue evenly-spaced stripes while the blue v-neck collar runs into full blue sleeves.
Running down the side of the shirt are the Hummel chevrons, while the back of the shirt is plain blue. The shorts and socks were blue with white trim.
All logos and motifs on the usual home blue and white striped home kit carried over to this design.
