Atletico Madrid Release 2016/17 Away Kit
They may have lost last season’s Champions League final but Atletico Madrid are having the last laugh in the kit stakes. It’s not much consolation, granted, but we football supporters take whatever we can get.
With manager Diego Simeone deciding to stay at the Vincente Calderon, Atletico can look forward to another season challenging for the La Liga title. And jf they win the Champions League along the way, I’m sure the tribulations of the recent final defeats will all be forgotten.
Atletico Madrid 2016/17 Away Kits
Last season’s third placed team in La Liga will take to the road in a predominantly black Nike kit.
The logos and club crest are in Varsity Maize in the kit manufacturers colour scheme; golden yellow to the rest of us! The contrast, no matter how you describe the hue, is stunning. On the side of the shirt and around the neck are dark navy trim. On the side of the shorts, meeting the shirt’s decoration at the waist , is a band featuring navy and maize stripes.
The sleeves, a panelled black, are raglan with vents to enable air to circulate freely aroud the body.
The socks are Varsity Maize with black trim.
Atletico Madrid will play their final season in the Vincente Calderon in 2016/17 and on the inside of the shirt collar is a graphic honouring their spiritual home. This is one of the most stylish away kits we will see next season, without a doubt.
