Besiktas 2016/17 Kits Unveiled
Turkish giants, Besiktas, have unveiled their three kits for the 2016/17 season. The club is currently in talks with Mario Balotelli over a possible £5m transfer from Liverpool, which is sure send shirt sales racing in Istanbul. The defending champions are intent on retaining their first title in seven years.
Besiktas 2016/17 Home Kit
This is the home kit Besiktas will wear during the 2016/17 season.
Adidas has produced a straightforward design which may be familiar to English fans as it closely resembles Manchester United kits from the 1980s.
The white shirt has black pinstripes down the front and back of the body and sleeves. Adidas has sited it’s logo on the right breast with the club crest on the left. The Turkish flag sits centrally above the logo of primary sponsor, Vodafone.
The manufacturers Three Stripes, in black, run down each side of the shirt. The rounded v-neck collar is unfussy in its design, and black in colour whilst the cuffs of each sleeve contain a black band sitting above a gold one.
Besiktas 2016/17 Away Kit
This is the Besiktas 2016/17 away kit.
The shirt with its black body and white sleeves, is a superb design from Adidas. With just the manufacturers Three Stripes in white across the shoulders, the lack of pattern gives the shirt a timeless quality.
A white winged collar gives way to a v-shape neckline. This joins the sleeves via the three shoulder stripes with the white cuff separated from by a thin black band.
Similar to the design Arsenal use, the two-tone colour scheme makes this an instant classic.
Besiktas 2016/17 Third Strip
In the event of colour clashes, this is the third Besiktas strip for the 2016/17 season.
It’s a straightforward top, almost a stock Adidas design for the casual market. The black wing collar meets the similarly coloured neckline with the red shirt cuffs featuring a thin black band. The Adidas Three Stripes, in white, run down each side of the shirt’s body from the underarm.
Besiktas have launched excellent kit designs, worthy of champions and raised the pressure on city rivals to match them.
