New Football Kits

Heidenheim FC’s 2018/19 Kit Revealed

They’re the club that’s most likely to be confused with Hoffenheim FC. They play at the Voith-Arena and they’re currently in 2. Bundesliga which is the highest the club has played in their history, since being promoted in the 2013/14 season. FC Heidenheim have worked with Nike to create a stunningly simplistic and effective kit that contains so many smaller, significant details. Sometimes a kit which is simplistic can be bad, or it can be good, here, we at UK Soccer Shop love the new jersey and will be supporting the German side in their push for promotion.

The kit is a darker shade of red than National League’s Leyton Orient and seems to be dominated by the club’s sponsor: Hartmann, and the club’s crest which seem to jump out at you. On the left sleeve is another club sponsor and on the right: the 2. Bundesliga’s logo.

While the kit is dominated by sponsors and is incredibly simple, the redeeming feature is its design – it features tiny, almost undetectable, horizontal stripes which cover the chest and certainly give the kit more character and a pleasing pattern. These lines only extend to the sleeves, not bleeding across, nor onto the neckline, giving the jersey a good shape and bold, up-close lining.

Finally, another couple of  subtle features on this nicely simple kit are the white lines which run vertically up the sides of the kit, giving a completed look and allowing this German side to be competitive both on the football field and in the design field, competing with other beautiful kits.

We really do hope that the club can build on their fabulous performance in recent years, reaching their highest level and continuing to push on for success. While their 2017/18 season has left them in the bottom half of the table, perhaps this sleek new kit will propel them into the highest level of German football.
