Manchester City 2017/18 Third Kit Leaked

It’s that time of the year. Kit deals are being signed, swatches and prototype designs are being finalised ready for their summer fanfare. And we feed off the scraps of information which come into the public domain. Manchester City are the latest club to ‘suffer’ a leak, this time on their third kit for next season.

If the imagery is correct, City will be taking a break from Nike’s ‘usual’ templates and releasing a bespoke design. Their kit range this year is fairly uninspiring although the darker second kit does work a treat.

As Monty Python once said, and now for something completely different.

So the City third kit is going to be a bit ‘camouflagey’. Then plain old Alex Ferguson made Manchester United change their dreadful grey shirts at Southampton as the players could not see each other; their kit, he claimed, merged with the crowd. Will Pep Guardiola do the same?

This design is primarily dark green so shouldn’t pose problems in that sense. There’s no clues yet about the shorts and socks but it would be a surprise if they are anything other than a straightforward plain dark green. The accents are likely to be sky blue but no news yet if that applies to the collar and cuffs.

The terrace wags will be making jokes about camouflage and commandos if this proves to be the correct design!
