Mention Andrea Pirlo and everyone oohs and aahs. He is frankly our favourite footballer beyond the heroes we cheer on every weekend.
The flowing locks, laconic style; the sumptuous passing range and ability to make it all look so simple when we know it is very difficult.
Andrea Pirlo is more than just a footballer. His superb autobiography, I Think Therefore I Play, sets him apart from his peers – not that he has many of them. With an interest in a vineyard in his business portfolio, Nike needed to do something special with Tiempo boot if they were going to do his talent justice.
And they did.
Tiempo Pirlo Limited Edition Boot
This is the Tiempo Pirlo limited edition boot from Nike.
The boot of course has a leather upper but with the name Pirlo attached to it, only the best is used. Alegria leather, in a “Merlot” colourway has been used, a nod of a hat to the midfielder’s Pratum Coller winery.
On the heel, there sit four gold stars.
These reflect Pratum Coller’s logo as well as the Azzurri World Cup successes. The Italian flag features on the lace aglet.
Quite simply, everything about the boots oozes class, even down to the inner which contains a font replicating that found on the label of a wine bottle.
An outstanding pair of boots which does the man, the myth and the legend, proud.
