Valencia Reveal 2016/17 Adidas Kits

Valencia finished 12th in La Liga last season and owner Peter Lim will be seeking an improvement this season.

The beginning of the fresh start came with the appointment of Pako Ayestarán as new manager. Yesterday saw the release of the 2016/17 home and away kits manufactured by Adidas. It may be the last from the German company with Joma rumoured to be in negotiations with the club to win back the contract they lost in 2014.

Valencia Home Kit 2016/17

This is the home strip to be worn by Valencia during home games for the 2016/17 season.

The predominantly white shirt features orange trim with a hint of black. Primary sponsor, beIN, has their logo on the lower back at the moment, possibly moving to the more prominent position on the front of the shirt.

It’s a classic Adidas shirt; the round collar – orange with a thin black band around the side and back of the neck – is direct from their t-shirts from the 1970s. Their trademark Three Stripes, again in orange, run from the underarm to the hem of the shirt.

The cuffs comprise a thin black and orange band.

The shorts are black with orange stripes on the side and a similarly coloured band at the bottom of each leg.

The kit is finished by white socks with an orange trim.

Valencia 2016/17 Away Kit

On their travels, Valencia revert to a black and orange strip, ditching last season’s replication of the Communitat Valenciana flag.

The clean design shirt is black with subtle tonal stripes on the front. The trim is orange with the Adidas Three Stripes once more placed on the side of the shirt.

The collar is a Henley design with two buttons. The only other trim is the black and orange cuff whilst, as with the home shirt, there is a bat logo below the neckline.

The shorts are orange with black trim and completed with black socks featuring an orange turnover.

The kits are clean designs and if beIN continue to leave their logo only on the reverse, it will be a striking strip for them to wear.
