Wolves Unveil 2016/17 Away Kit

Sky Bet Championship side, Wolverhampton Wanderers, have split bookmakers on where they will finish in the 2016/17 season. The English Football League sponsors have Wolves at 9/2 to be relegated and the same to finish in the top six. Whether that is a reflection on the closeness of the division or of Wolves potential will become clear as campaign unfurls.

The club has opted for an all-lime green strip with black trim and likely to debut at St James Park when they visit Newcastle on 17th September. Before then, trips to Rotherham, Birmingham and Huddersfield don’t force a kit clash with the home sides and so an early outing seems unlikely.

The shirt is a straightforward design, with black stripes on the top and underside of each sleeve, leading from the cuffs to the neckline. A black winged collar, featuring a v-shaped neckline, completes the look reminiscent of Puma’s kits from the late 1970s.

The shorts are also lime green. On the side of each leg is a thick black stripe whilst the socks are similarly coloured, this time with a thick black band as part of the turnover.
