Discover the Spirit of Georgian Football

Georgia's footballing journey is one of the modern game's most inspiring stories. The team is colloquially referred to as Jvarosnebi (The Crusaders) and has adopted Saint George as their symbol, which is a patron of Georgia. From decades of qualification heartbreak to their first successful qualification for a major tournament, the UEFA Euro 2024, secured with a win against Greece in the UEFA Euro 2024 qualifying play-off final, this proud nation has captured hearts worldwide. Now you can celebrate this remarkable heritage with our authentic Georgia football shirts collection.

Georgia Home & Away Kits

The classic white home jersey with bold red accents represents the Georgian national colors with pride. The Georgian Football Federation's 2024 home jersey sports a dye-sub dot pattern throughout the jersey, with a base colour of white making way for solid red detailing. The design is complete with a crew neck and red track running down the middle of the sleeves. Whether you're looking for Macron's latest symbolic designs or retro Adidas classics, our range captures the essence of the Crusaders' identity, featuring the proud Georgian Football Association crest.

Current Season Georgia Shirts

Georgia's current kits supplied by Macron emphasize national identity through powerful symbolism. The recent "The Power is Within Me" design integrates Georgia's Saint George cross, national slogans in Georgian script, broken vertical stripes, and symbolic motifs to represent unity, strength, and pride. Our current season collection includes:

Retro Georgia Football Jerseys

Take a nostalgic journey through Georgian football history. Several home and away kits under adidas blended modern templates and evolving graphics with the team's traditional colours throughout the 2010s. Our retro collection celebrates the Adidas era alongside earlier classic designs from the 1990s when Georgia first entered international competition. These throwback jerseys connect you to generations of Georgian football heritage, from the early days of independence to memorable qualification campaigns.

Georgia's Football Heroes

The white and red shirt has been graced by exceptional talent across generations. Khvicha Kvaratskhelia stands as Georgia's modern superstar. Kvaratskhelia has been nicknamed "Kvaradona," after the Napoli legend Diego Maradona, as well as the "Georgian Messi," due to their similar playing styles and penchant for dribbling. He helped the club to reach the quarter-finals of the UEFA Champions League for the first time ever, and win a first Serie A title in 33 years, finishing as the league's top assist provider with Napoli before his transfer to Paris Saint-Germain. In 2013, Cristiano opened a football academy in Georgia, and one of the children who registered was Kvaratskhelia – making his Euro 2024 performance against Portugal even more special.

Georges Mikautadze emerged as another Georgian hero at Euro 2024. Mikautadze finished level with five other players on three goals, and thus shared the top scorer award. On 18 June, Mikautadze scored his nation's first goal in the European competition, by netting the equaliser against Turkey in Georgia's opening match, beginning an incredible tournament that saw him score in all three group matches.

Looking back, Georgi Kinkladze remains Georgia's most legendary player. In Georgia he won three league titles and two cups with Dinamo Tbilisi, and was named national player of the year twice. He first came to international prominence with his performances for the Georgian national team against Wales in 1994 and 1995. During his stay, it is believed that arguably the greatest footballer of all-time invited Georgi out for a meal, being so impressed by what he'd seen. Maradona was believed to be keen to take him to another club he was involved with in Argentina at the time. His dribbling artistry at Manchester City in the 1990s made him a cult hero, and he remains beloved by both Georgian and English football fans.

Shota Arveladze was Georgia's long-time top scorer before the modern era, terrorizing defenses across European leagues. Giorgi Mamardashvili provides world-class goalkeeping, while Guram Kashia captains with distinction. These legends inspire each new generation pulling on the Crusaders' shirt.

Famous Georgia Kit Moments

After the game finished 0-0 after extra-time, the tie was decided by a penalty shootout which Georgia won 4-2, Nika Kvekveskiri converting the history-making spot-kick to send the home crowd into a frenzy. The Macron kit worn during this historic qualification match became instantly iconic, forever associated with Georgia's breakthrough moment.

Their 2–0 victory against Portugal was considered one of the biggest upsets in European Championship history, and was enough to propel Georgia to the round of 16 in their first international tournament appearance. After the match, Kvaratskhelia swapped shirts with Ronaldo and showed off the jersey of his childhood idol alongside the Man of the Match award on Instagram, creating an unforgettable moment for Georgian football.

In 2023, Georgia co-hosted the UEFA European Under-21 Championship with Romania, and the country's growing appetite for football was illustrated by the record-breaking combined attendance of 316,023, showing the nation's deep passion for the sport.

The Georgian Football Story

The Georgian team's first match took place on 27 May 1990 against Lithuania, while Georgia was still part of the Soviet Union. The Georgian Football Federation became a member of both UEFA and FIFA in 1992, enabling Georgia to play competitive matches. Upon its admission into FIFA ranked 156th, Georgia ascended to their peak World Ranking of 42nd in 1998.

With the atmosphere reaching a fever pitch, the game went to penalties and it was Georgia which kept its nerve to qualify for a major tournament in its 15th attempt. The historic qualification sparked nationwide celebrations, with thousands of fans flooding onto the pitch at the Boris Paichadze Dinamo Arena in Tbilisi.

The EURO 2024 qualification is the culmination of years of football development, planning and innovation by the ambitious Georgian Football Federation (GFF), which has leveraged multiple types of UEFA support alongside its work to maximise its impact. In 2014, Georgia was able to establish a new national football academy, being one of the first associations involved with UEFA's Elite Youth Player Development Programme.

Georgia boasts a fascinating football culture that blends technical quality with fierce determination. Home games are played at the Boris Paichadze Dinamo Arena in Tbilisi. This stadium boasts the title of being the largest in the country with a capacity of over 54,000 fans. Bayern Munich legend Willy Sagnol will be calling the shots from the touchline, guiding this golden generation of Georgian talent.

The team's nickname "Jvarosnebi" (The Crusaders) and adoption of Saint George as their symbol reflects Georgia's deep cultural and religious heritage, making every jersey more than just sportswear – it's a statement of national identity.
