Leeds United legend Eddie Gray (pic) made 28 league appearances in 1978-79, the club's most successful league season since the Revie era. Jimmy Adamson's team finished 5th and was built around David Harvey, Trevor Cherry, Frank Gray, Brian Flynn, Paul Hart, Carl Harris, Paul Madeley, Ray Hankin, Tony Currie, Arthur Graham, Eddie Gray and John Hawley, who finished the season as top scorer with 16 league goals.
